WELCOME to PRM
Your time is valuable. Our website answers your basic
questions about PRM: who we are, what we do, who owns us, what services we
provide, and what experience we have pertinent to your needs.
Core Services
PRM has two core service lines: power and gas management, and energy consulting. In both areas, we integrate the analysis of electricity with fuels such as natural gas, coal, oil, and liquefied natural gas. Clients Our clients span the spectrum of energy users: utilities, municipalities, state agencies, rural electric cooperatives, independent power developers, industrial facilities, aggregation/joint action groups, and the law firms that support large energy users. Our clients have several common concerns: how to manage energy risk, how to procure energy (power and fuel), and how to use it effectively. Independence PRM offers a unique attribute in today’s energy marketplace – independence. We represent our clients’ best interests, not our own. We are neither a power nor gas marketer, and we are not affiliated with a large energy organization. We do not take title to electricity, fuel, or transmission assets. Instead, we manage these assets on behalf of our clients. Whatever the commodity or the analysis needed, we operate as an expert extension of our clients’ staffs. Origin PRM was founded in 1993 by a small group of elite and highly experienced energy professionals with a vision of independent service to energy users. Since then, PRM has grown consistently in size and responsibility. We are now one of the leading independent energy managers in the nation. Ownership PRM has a unique ownership structure - a Limited Liability Partnership owned equally by three Washington State Public Utility Districts (Public Utility District #1 of Franklin County, Public Utility District #1 of Benton County, and Public Utility District #1 of Grays Harbor County). Each is a consumer-owned, electric utility organized as a governmental entity of the State of Washington. PRM provides expert power management services to these utilities, integrating their own power resources with supplies of electricity from the Bonneville Power Administration’s hydro system. Our ownership by these electric utilities that have strong customer bases gives PRM financial stability and supports our service commitment. Thank you for your interest in PRM. Should you choose to contact us, it will be a pleasure to assist you. |
